Your information
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we need it, and what you can do about it.
Privacy policies aren't thrilling reading. Still, when a family trusts us with information about a teen driver, the explanation should be clear. Here's what we collect, how we use it, who may receive it, and what choices you have.
Drive Venture is an early pilot for supervised teen-driving practice and licensing progress. It is operated by SCOCRAFT LLC. “Drive Venture,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the service and its operator.
1. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how your family uses Drive Venture:
- Parents and guardians: name, email, relationship to the driver, and mobile number if provided.
- Drivers: name or nickname, email, birthday, licensing stage and dates, home ZIP code, favorite color, optional photo, and mobile number if provided.
- Vehicles: vehicle name, class, color, and other Garage details your family adds—mainly so you and your teen can tell the different cars you drive apart in your records.
- Driving records: dates, start and end times, locations or destinations, vehicle, day and night hours, notes, achievements, and licensing-progress calculations.
- Text Parker: mobile number, consent and opt-out status, message content, timestamps, delivery information, and commands.
- Feedback: comments, ratings, the feature involved, optional contact information, and permission to follow up.
- Service and technical details: internal identifiers; provisioning and migration status; error and audit records; approximate coordinates derived from ZIP code; and limited submission context, which may include device class, operating-system family, browser family and major version, viewport size, language, time zone, referring page, campaign parameters, and public website page views.
- Purchases and billing (when paid checkout is enabled): Family license and capacity purchased, transaction amount and taxes, billing location, payment status, transaction/provider reference, receipt and support records, and evidence of which Terms version the purchaser accepted. The payment provider securely handles card entry.
We do not collect continuous GPS trip tracking. Drive Venture does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes; a secure payment provider will handle card entry when the web checkout is enabled. Our public pages may use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel for website and advertising measurement. These tools may receive page views, page/referral URLs, campaign parameters, and limited device/browser information. We do not intentionally send names, emails, phone numbers, SMS consent, driver birthdays, drive details, destinations, notes, vehicle details, form field contents, or family records to these measurement services.
We do not create our own unique advertising identifier or use submission context to create a persistent device fingerprint. We use these details to understand the website, not to track an individual family's drives.
2. How payments and billing work (once checkout is available)
If your Family purchases a license or additional active-driver capacity, we keep enough information to confirm the purchase, update the right Family's license, provide receipts, investigate billing problems, and handle eligible refunds. This includes the item purchased, price and taxes, billing location, purchase date, transaction reference, payment status, and accepted Terms version. A payment processor handles secure card entry; Drive Venture does not collect the full card number or card security code. Billing requests can be sent through Feedback using the Billing category.
3. How we use information
We use information to enroll pilot families; run the driving log and calculate practice time, achievements, possible road conditions, and licensing progress; send requested service and Text Parker messages; help users; secure and troubleshoot the service; prevent duplicate processing; maintain audit records; improve the pilot through feedback and aggregated or de-identified information; measure public outreach and advertising; comply with applicable law; and enforce our Terms.
In other words, we collect information to run the service, support families, and improve what isn't working.
4. Text Parker and mobile information
Text Parker is optional. Consent to receive texts is separate and is not a condition of purchase. Mobile information supports requested transactional messages about registration, account activity, supervised-drive recording, service status, and help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS consent, or opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose mobile information to service providers and wireless carriers only as needed to operate and deliver messaging, or when required by law.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share it within the participating family (including the driver and authorizing parent or guardian), with service providers working on our behalf, when reasonably needed to protect users or investigate misuse or satisfy law or valid legal process, and with consent or at the direction of someone authorized to make the request.
6. Website and advertising measurement
Selected public website pages use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure page views and Meta Pixel to measure referrals from advertising and social-media posts. They may process page views, page and referral URLs, campaign parameters, and limited device/browser information. Google Analytics is not installed on authenticated driver application pages or the SMS consent preview; Meta Pixel may run on selected public pages.
We do not intentionally send form contents, names, emails, phone numbers, SMS consent, birthdays, driving details, destinations, notes, vehicles, or family records to Google Analytics or Meta for measurement. Google and Meta process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Drive Venture uses measurement to improve outreach and website experience, not to sell personal information.
We're trying to understand whether our outreach works—not collect a family's driving story for advertising.
7. Service providers
We use outside services to keep Drive Venture running. Here's what they do and what information they may handle:
- Account, application, storage, and email providers: help with sign-in, registration, driving records, family and driver information, consent, feedback, support, and service operations.
- Payment processors: when checkout is enabled, handle secure card entry and payment transactions, and share payment status, amount, necessary billing details, and transaction references with us so we can provide Family licenses, receipts, dispute support, and refunds.
- Text-messaging providers, wireless carriers, and messaging intermediaries: handle the phone numbers, message content, delivery information, consent, and opt-outs needed for Text Parker.
- Website hosting and network providers: handle ordinary requests when you visit public pages. Public website hosting is separate from the storage of family driving records.
- Google Analytics and Meta: handle the limited public-page measurement described above.
- Weather and daylight services: use dates and approximate location coordinates to help calculate weather and daylight conditions, without receiving names or contact information for those calculations.
- Domain and related technical providers: support the operation of our website and related services.
We do not share every category of information with every provider. Providers receive information as needed for the services they perform. The important distinction is what those services do with your information, not the software brand on our servers.
8. How long information stays
- Active registration and driving records are kept while the family participates.
- Inactive pilot registration and driving records are deleted or de-identified within 12 months, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary.
- SMS message content is normally kept for up to 12 months, except when an unresolved support, security, or legal matter requires longer.
- Consent, opt-out, policy-version, provisioning, migration, security, and other audit records may be retained for up to five years after the relevant interaction.
- Provider backups and technical logs follow the providers' normal retention cycles.
Some records have to stay longer to document consent, security, or legal responsibilities; the periods above explain our approach.
9. Access, corrections, and deletion
An adult driver, or a parent or guardian who authorized a minor's participation, may request access, correction, or deletion through Feedback (choose Privacy). We may verify a request using information we already hold. We aim to complete ordinary verified requests within 30 days.
We may retain minimal records needed to document consent, opt-outs, deletion, security matters, or legal obligations. Information in backups may remain until the provider's normal backup cycle finishes. You can stop Text Parker messages immediately by replying STOP, without waiting for a broader deletion request.
10. Teen drivers and children
Drive Venture is for teen permit holders and their families, not children under 13. A parent or legal guardian must initiate or approve participation for any driver under 18. If we learn we collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards suitable for an early pilot. No service or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We take security seriously, while recognizing that no technology is risk-free.
12. Policy updates
We may revise this policy as the pilot evolves. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects participating families.
13. Questions
Questions about privacy or requests concerning your information? Use Feedback and select Privacy. If you need help with a charge, choose Billing. We'll help you understand what happens with your information.
