Why Drive Venture exists

Fifty hours is a long road. The goal is more than reaching a number.

Many states require supervised practice before a teen can earn a license. Those hours are an opportunity to build judgment, confidence, and experience while a grown-up is there to coach. Drive Venture helps families make that practice visible, varied, and easier to complete together.

Drive Venture starts in Michigan, where pilot families are working toward 50 supervised hours, including 10 at night. We are building a simple way to keep those hours visible, share the work, and learn what helps families practice together.

Drive Venture is operated by Michael Stefaniak as a Michigan sole proprietor. It is not a driving school and does not replace parental supervision, professional instruction, official licensing requirements, or records required by a government agency.

Why all that practice?

Practice helps teens get ready.

New drivers are more likely to crash when they first drive alone. Practice with a grown-up gives teens time to learn on real roads, make safe choices, and get help when they need it.

What the study tells us: More supervised practice was linked with fewer crashes and close calls later. It does not promise a result, but it is a strong reason to make practice a family habit.

Requirements by state

Every state has its own rules.

Michigan is where Drive Venture begins, but families across the country face different practice rules. Our review covers all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Requirements can change based on age, driver education, and licensing path, so always check your state’s current rules.
